Belize 13 Years Old 2007 – The Nectar is a molasses rum that originated in a small state in Central America bordered by the Caribbean Sea.
Although surrounded by countries that produce rum of the Spanish tradition, Belize has rather inherited the English tradition. Thus, the rum is generally more structured and aromatic than its neighbours.
The Belgian bottler made this selection at the Travelers distillery. The rum was aged for 13 years in old bourbon casks before being bottled at cask strength in 2020.
