Nine Leaves 2016 - Pure Sugar Cane Juice Rum

This remarkable bottling is a blend of three rums, distilled from sugar cane harvested on three different Japanese islands:
Iriomote, Hateruma, and Tarama.

Distilled and produced by Mr. Takeuchi using his ancestral methods, each rum was initially aged for 3 years in different types of wooden casks, then blended and further matured for 2 additional years in ex-acacia wood barrels.

The result is a precise and elegant rum with notes of fresh cane juice, floral nuances, subtle spice, mineral tension, and refined wood integration.

Karukera 2009 - Rhum Vieux Agricole

This single cask agricole rum was distilled in April 2009 at the oldest distillery in Guadeloupe, using a traditional Creole column still. The cask (Fut L7) was filled in September 2009 and aged for 11 years entirely at the distillery.

Produced and bottled at the Domaine du Marquisat de Sainte-Marie, this rum was released at full proof, without reduction, as a Velier Special Edition.

The profile is a textbook expression of mature agricole: fresh grassy cane, citrus peel, tropical fruit, white pepper, herbal spice, and a long, dry, elegant finish.
