This exceptional eau-de-vie from Swell de Spirits is part of their acclaimed Flashback Series and is anything but ordinary. Distilled in 1991 in the Fins Bois region of Cognac, this wine-based spirit rested for over 30 years before receiving a remarkable twist: a 16-month finish in ex-Caroni rum casks. Caroni is renowned for its powerful, empyreumatic aromas, which have left a distinctive mark on this bottling.

Following cask maturation, the spirit spent an additional 3 months in a demijohn, allowing the flavours to harmonize beautifully. The result? A mahogany-coloured gem brimming with aromatic complexity.

On the nose, a playful and layered bouquet emerges: juicy peach, tangy candies, fresh glue, toasted oak, golden brioche, and almond. The palate is silky and refined on the attack, with ripe yellow fruits leading the way, evolving into smoky notes of molten rubber and petrol – signature Caroni traits. The finish is long, vibrant, and intriguing, with recurring ripe fruit, a saline touch, sweet spices, and a hint of black fruit.
