Foursquare Convocation is the 28th release in the prestigious Exceptional Cask Selection (ECS) series from the iconic Foursquare Distillery. This powerful vintage expression once again demonstrates why Barbados is considered one of the world’s leading rum-producing nations.
Distilled in 2010 and aged for 14 years entirely under tropical conditions, Convocation is a true showcase of time, climate, and cask mastery. This Single Blended Rum (a blend of pot and column still distillates from the same distillery) is bottled at a bold 62% ABV, without chill filtration, colouring, or added sugar — in full transparency, as always with Foursquare.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Intense and complex, with aromas of dark caramel, molasses, toasted oak, dried figs, vanilla, and baking spices. Subtle notes of cocoa and roasted nuts emerge with time in the glass.
Palate: Powerful yet remarkably balanced. Layers of toffee, dark chocolate, dried fruit, clove, and oak spice unfold beautifully. Despite the high ABV, the structure is refined and cohesive.
Finish: Long, warm, and commanding, with lingering spice, oak tannins, and rich caramelised notes.
